Hilton Garden Inn – Naperville, IL

This was a very nice hotel in a great location for getting to my office.  I had seen it before, but since I am not a Hilton high status person, I never stayed there before.  I was pleasantly surprised at my welcome.  Even though I am only a silver member, the front desk person recognized my credit card was from Marriott and went the extra mile to welcome me.  The hotel is less than a year old, so I expected a clean, fresh look, and I was not disappointed.  The one thing I did not expect was the strong chemical odor from the carpeting.  It was not bad in my room, but very noticeable in the halls. When I got to my room, I noticed a handicapped doorbell on the outside.  I assumed my room was accessible, but if I were in a wheelchair I would not have a good time in this room.  The shower stall had a step up into it.  The closet was normal height, as was the peephole.  The one thing I did notice was the bathroom door was quite wide.

All in all, a very nice place.
